Dark Angel Medical D.A.R.T. 1

DESCRIPTION:

Class Flow: PHYSICALLY & MENTALLY INTENSE This class is open to both Handgun and Long Gun.

Bad things happen in and around our world during the hours of darkness and we should have the skills to deal with those problems should that day arise. Building on the skills learned in Beyond A Door, Beyond A Door: DARK will give students ample time to solve 360-degree-world problems with a partner while in a scotopic (Dark) environment. 

This 2-Day course will dive back to its roots on Day 1 for a warm up of 2-person techniques and then “go dark” for the remainder of the class. Students will make multiple runs through the shoot house during the two-day class receiving feedback after every single evolution.

WHAT THIS CLASS IS:

This is a problem-solving class. Not a shooting class. You just happen to have a firearm with you. This is THE class to run your gear as you have it set up at home or your daily carry. This is the class to test your ability think, shoot and move at the same time. THIS CLASS IS HIGH-STRESS AND PHYSICALLY DEMANDING.

WHAT THIS CLASS IS NOT:

This class is not a tactical fantasy band-camp to wear cool gear, shoot a lot and take photos to post online. This class will not allow for showboats, egos, or bad weapon-handling skills. This class is not an excuse to dress up and play SWAT.

NOTE: THIS CLASS IS UTM/SIM ONLY AT AN INDOOR SHOOTHOUSE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO SIMULATE COMMON OCCUPIED STRUCTURES. LIVE WEAPONS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED* Please carry to class as legally warranted. Cadre will notify students of proper range-safety procedures prior to training.

  • Bring your own .223 / 5.56 AR15 (NLTA AR15 bolts are included with class cost)
  • Spare Magazines – Wear Your Gear As You Usually Carry It

IF YOU PLAN TO USE A SHOTGUN:

  • NLTA Pump Remington 870 Shotguns are included with class cost
  • Handheld Light

REQUIRED:

  • Ballistic Eyewear Required
  • Class ammo will be available for purchase on site (cash only). No more than 100 rounds needed for the weekend. (Note: ammo cost may fluctuate due to supplier)
    • NLTA 9mm – $50 / box (50rds)
    • NLTA 5.56 – $40 / box (30rds) (we sell UTM MMR 5.56)
    • NLTA Shotgun – $45 / box (50rds)
  • Personal Armor is NOT Required (if you wish to train in it, you may)

NOTE: Students MAY use night vision devices during this course but IS NOT required at all. Please note that if you do not attend with a partner who also has NODs, you may be unable to use them effectively. If you REALLY want to run this course like a ninja, sign up with a buddy who also has “Riddick Eyes.”
