DESCRIPTION

Class Flow: MODERATE (students can expect full day of shooting with a good deal of physical and mental work from a static line)

YSS | You STILL Suck! It’s Not the Gun! is the continuation of our core handgun class. Designed for those that have joined us for our standard YSINTG class, become VERY PROFICIENT at the skills learned in YSINTG, and now want to push the boundaries of their marksmanship skills. Now that you can get a hit where you want it, can you do it over and over again and quickly? YSS will continue to build on your shooting foundation as techniques are challenged and distances magnified.

Veteran Alumni will work together with the cadre to continue to work the fundamentals of marksmanship while placed in ever-growing challenges.

While this class will require and stress the basics of what shooting is all about, it will be different than any other class we offer.

Although YSS is the sequel to our YSINTG class, they are NOT designed to be taken back to back with no individual practice in-between. Shooters must be proficient at all topics covered in YSINTG before attending to get the most out of the course. If a student cannot keep all 10 rounds on the YSINTG qualifier target, this class is not for you.

TOPICS COVERED

  • In-depth Firearms Responsibility (safety) and Medical Briefing
  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship
  • Shooting Techniques
  • The Balance of Speed and Accuracy

My favorite MDFI class so far. It's mentally challenging but as always tons of fun. I saw significant improvement as the day went on.

This class did not disappoint. Pushed my skills and abilities faster and farther than I thought I could do and gave me the confidence to go even farther. Immediate feedback and correction provided increased performance throughout the class and have encouraged me to continue training with MDFI. Well done Tim and Brandon, what an honor to train with you guys.

This one was tough but very, very good for those that want to push themselves to be more controlled and confident. Great curriculum, taught by great teachers. I highly recommend this class for the qualified alum.

Just completed YSSINTG training and thoroughly enjoyed this class even in the storm! The range in Holland is amazing and always trying to create a better range area thank you Derick! Tim and Brandon give you that one on one instruction as needed and break down the class for everyone to understand their instructions. Continued practice is needed to develop the situational aspects of being a responsible concealed carry citizen. Thank you for having this class it was very informational and will be taking all of this to the range to keep training.

This class picks up where YSINTG left off. As the description states when registering, PRACTICE is required between classes. This class with greatly improve your accuracy at distance, one hand, weak hand and under quicker shooting than previous MDFI classes. Brandon and Tim do a great job on the instruction, and like other classes I have taken with them, they break down the drills, demonstrate and coach. This is the chance to seek help if you're struggling with something. They will take the time one on one to help you. This is another class that is not required for the Full Tour Black Card, yet would be a HUGE benefit to you before taking the more advanced classes, especially Low Light Handgun, which requires a lot of one hand shooting. Or When Things Go Bad, which uses weak hand. I'm glad MDFI has added this to the platform!
